CMA signals concerns over rail infrastructure deal

The UK’s Competition and Markets Authority has told Hitachi it will need to offer remedies to secure approval for its €1.7 billion proposed purchase of Thales’ rail infrastructure business, due to concerns the transaction could lead to higher fares.
