CMA clears telecoms merger with remedies

The UK’s competition enforcer has conditionally cleared Cellnex’s acquisition of CK Hutchison’s 6,000 telecoms tower assets in the UK, after the buyer offered structural remedies to address concerns that the deal would entrench a powerful duopoly in the market.
