China links Qualcomm/NXP approval to ZTE trade ban
China’s new competition agency is believed to be close to approving Qualcomm’s $47 billion takeover of NXP Semiconductors, although any clearance will allegedly be conditioned on telecoms equipment company ZTE’s US trade ban being lifted.
