Welcome to 2020. Antitrust agencies are trying to amend competition laws to enhance their capabilities and Brunei has finally begun enforcing a law of its own. Throughout the world, this year will likely see an even greater focus than in 2019 on major technology companies. For the newer agencies in Asia Pacific, however, the priority will be increasing the efficacy of their enforcement efforts by cracking down on traditional anticompetitive conduct.
