No-deal Brexit would mean UK unbound by EU case law

The UK’s competition authority will not be tied to existing EU case law when investigating antitrust infringements in the event of a “no deal” Brexit, the government has said, with one lawyer suggesting this could give the UK authority more freedom to apply a more effects-based approach.
