Matheson Ormsby Prentice

Helen Kelly is a partner and head of the EC, competition and regulatory group at Matheson Ormsby Prentice. Helen specialises in EU and Irish merger control work.

Helen also advises on abuses of dominant position and has acted for complainants and defendants in such cases before the European Commission, Irish Competition Authority and the Courts. Helen advises on a range of cartel matters including allegations of price fixing, bid rigging and collective boycotts. Helen has acted for the state and state aid recipients on state aid matters, as well as for companies alleging state aid and disputing allegations of aid. Helen has substantial experience in advising on public procurement law issues in the utilities and classic sectors. She also advises on regulatory issues in the postal, telecommunications, broadcasting, transport and energy sectors.

Helen regularly publishes articles and speaks at leading conferences. She is a graduate of Trinity College Dublin and the London School of Economics and is a solicitor in Ireland. Helen is also a member of the Law Society of England and Wales (non-practising).
