Antoine Choffel, partner, advises clients on French and EU competition law (cartels, dominant position, merger control). Antoine represents both French and foreign companies before the European institutions and before the French competition authority (merger filings, complaints, antitrust disputes), as well as before French courts (litigation between suppliers and distributors, defence of distribution networks, unfair competition, private enforcement, etc).
As far as merger control is concerned, Antoine has developed widely recognised skills (full-function joint-ventures, public takeover bids, complex asset deals) and has regularly been involved in many cases where commitments (structural or behavioural) were submitted in order to obtain regulatory clearance.
Member of the French Association of Competition Studies (AFEC), Antoine Choffel was resident partner of Gide’s Brussels office for four years before returning to Paris in 2001. He was admitted to the Paris Bar in 1991.
