Yong Seok Ahn is the partner in charge of competition law and general corporate practice at Lee & Ko. He has recently represented Korean Airline in the international cartel case related to air cargo fuel surcharges. He has also represented many multinational companies in relation to Korean competition laws, including price fixing, merger filing and unfair trade practices before the Korean Fair Trade Commission. He has represented LG Electronics in various global transactions including LG Display, LG-Nortel and LGIBM joint ventures. He continues to be very active in the field of foreign investment in Korea and has represented many multinational corporations in their acquisition of Korean companies, including Electrolux, Disney, Ford, Wallenius Lines, Wilh Wilhelmsen, Michelin, AXA, ITW, GE Healthcare, Pfizer, General Mills, Google, Hercules Chemical, Diageo, Microsoft, Elpida Memory and Oman Oil.
Yong Seok Ahn was admitted to the Korean Bar in 1985 and the New York Bar in 1995. He received an LLB from the College of Law, Seoul National University in 1984 and LLM from the University of Michigan Law School in 1995. Yong Seok Ahn has worked at Lee & Ko since 1989, immediately after serving as a legal officer in the Korean Navy from 1986 to 1989. He is a member of the Korean Bar Association, Seoul Bar Association and New York State Bar Association.
