Canada’s tribunal suspends e-books settlement over bureau protests

Despite claims from the country’s Competition Bureau that a stay would “irreparably harm” the public interest, Canada’s Competition Tribunal has said it will suspend a consent agreement between the authority and four major publishers while it decides whether to tear up the settlement altogether.
