DG Comp strikes settlement ending e-books probe

The European half of a transatlantic investigation of potential collusion in the electronic books industry ended today after four of the world’s largest publishers, along with e-book retailer Apple, agreed to cancel contracts with one another that had raised antitrust concerns.
