Czech Republic's Office for the Protection of Competition

From all indications, the past year has been an exercise in choosing the right battles for the Czech Republic’s Office for the Protection of Competition. While the small and relatively young agency didn’t bring all that many cartel or conduct cases last year, the ones it did bring made good use of the new tools and organisational structure within the authority. Those developments bode well for its future.
