Andrea Agathoklis Murino is a partner and co-chair of Goodwin’s antitrust practice based in the firm’s Washington, DC office. Ms Murino’s practice spans the gamut of antitrust and competition law counselling, with a particular focus on assisting clients seeking approval for proposed transactions from the Antitrust Division of the US Department of Justice, the US Federal Trade Commission, State Attorneys General and international competition law enforcement agencies. She further advises clients on civil non-merger conduct matters before the DOJ, the FTC and state attorneys general in private litigation and on a range of consumer protection matters. Her clients include companies in the healthcare, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, high-technology, computer hardware and software, financial services, telecommunications, energy, hospitality, retail, and consumer products industries, as well as trade associations. Ms Murino served the highest decision-makers at both federal antitrust enforcement agencies. She was an attorney adviser to former FTC chairman and commissioner William Kovacic where she offered advice on a diverse array of competition and consumer protection matters. She then served as a counsel to two Assistant Attorneys General for Antitrust at the Department of Justice where she advised the Assistant Attorney General and the Deputy Assistant Attorneys General on criminal and civil enforcement matters.
